The Lowrie Family – Established in 2012
Ryan and Sheri’s story began in 2008 when they met through friends in a beach volleyball league in Essex, Ontario. At the time, they were both happily independent—Ryan living in Kingsville, Sheri in Windsor—but fate seemed to have other plans. That summer, they kept crossing paths, not just on the volleyball court but also on the baseball field.
One evening, while joking with her baseball teammates, Sheri playfully declared, “Who’s number 17 on your team? I’m taking him home!” To her surprise, Ryan turned around, revealing the number 17 on his back. A sign of something meant to be!
Not long after, Sheri invited Ryan to “be her guy” in a co-ed baseball tournament in Harrow. He showed his true character that weekend—being a gentleman, driving her home, and spending time together. That fun-filled weekend was just the beginning of their journey to falling in love.
Fast forward 17 years, and Ryan and Sheri call Kingsville home. They pour their energy into their family, raising their two amazing kids, Jackson and Shae , who keep them on their toes with their passion for sports, the arts, and learning.
Through the ups and downs of life, the Lowries resonate with a simple motto: “Every day is a good day.” Whether it’s cheering from the sidelines, making memories together, or simply enjoying the little moments, they embrace each day with gratitude and love.
When they aren’t busy running between hockey rinks, baseball diamonds, or play rehearsals, the Lowries love spending time at the lake, traveling, and enjoying a good game night (Shae is the reigning Old Maid champion, and Jackson holds the title in Spoons… for now). And of course, no weekend is complete without a family movie night—popcorn required!
Here are some of our favourite moments!
